Harnessing my super powers
Yes, I have super powers. But if I’m right, and I am pretty sure that I am, so do you.
As many others who describe themselves as empathic, intuitive, or highly sensitive, most of us have always felt a bit….different. In earlier posts I wrote about what that meant growing up with these traits. Over the last year, I have studied a ton about various subjects including psychic abilities, the chakra system, astrology, meditation, ascension, collective consciousness, and so on and so on. A lot of these may seem unrelated, but I would argue that they are, in many ways, connected.
I wrote in a previous post about the requirement of having an audacious creativity as being the first step to unlocking your own “awakening” process. For me, recognizing that there is soooo much that I don’t understand about a myriad of topics was exciting. I WANTED to know about things, because that is how my brain works. Remember the picture of the board of connections? I’ll paste it again because it’s kind of fun. :)
I constantly “see” images in my mind’s eye (or intuition) about various things that used to seem unrelated. But now I recognize this as part of my ability or my super power. When I allowed my mind to “step outside the box” that I had constructed of what life as I know it looks like, I unlocked more and more of these abilities.
You know the saying that goes something like you don’t always notice yellow cars until you have a reason to look for yellow cars? It is very similar to this concept. You might not pay attention to your intuition or what your guides are showing you until you recognize that for what it is. See it, label it if you want, and thank it for showing you the message. You may not understand what it means at the time, but 9 times out of 10 I can look back with an “ah ha” moment and say soooo that’s why I saw XYZ. The more you become comfortable with this idea, the more you begin to look for your own yellow cars. Coincidentally, my son and I were reading in bed together and this was the page that he we opened to:
What was helpful for me once I recognized that I could access these abilities again, was learning to allow without judgement and observe what comes to me. I would also recommend getting comfortable with being quiet or in meditation to access “flow state.” I will talk more about this and my energy work in another post.
